


Please join us for the first annual NanoRomania 2009 conference*, a joint NSF Romanian/U.S. NanoScience Workshop. Our goal is to make this annual conference the premier nanoscience research event in Eastern Europe. You will be joining Dr. Mihail Roco, NSF's Senior Advisor for Nanotechnology, Dr. Luis Echegoven, the Director of the Chemistry Division at NSF, Dr. Gheorghe Popa, Vice-Rector at the Alexandru Iona Cuza University, Dr. Marius Andruh, on the Board of Directors of the European Institute of Molecular Magnetism (EIMM), and other Romanian and U.S.-based researchers, academics, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders to discuss the issues, opportunities, and challenges inherent in small tech innovation. The opening Plenary session on Tuesday, June 2 will be followed by three days of morning talks followed by afternoon proposal development sessions with a goal of faciliating joint future U.S./Romanian research projects.
