Biography:
Thomas "T.C." Chung, Ph.D., is the Project Manager for the Conrad Prebys Center for Chemical Genomics at Burnham Institute for Medical Research with operational responsibility for ensuring its production goals with MLPCN. Dr. Chung has held positions of increasing responsibility from Sr. Scientist to Chief Scientific Officer over his more than 20-year career with several major pharmaceutical companies (GSK, Merck, BMS, DuPont), two biotechnology companies (Pharmcopeia and Genoptix) and an as industry market & technology consultant. He has built and managed HTS groups with responsibility for compound management, IT infrastructure, and rapid lead characterization and optimization, analytical chemistry and ADME profiling. Additionally, Dr. Chung was responsible for Lead Discovery programs in cardiovascular, central nervous system, virology, inflammatory diseases, and antimicrobials, as well as new technology evaluation and development.
